Welcome to 'Le Castellot' - a pair of holiday cottages ("Gîtes") catering for up to 18 people in a huge converted barn. The barn is situated in the grounds of a four hundred year old farmhouse in the Dordogne - arguably the nicest region in France!

"Les Coquelicots": named after the Poppies that grow along the lane to the house, this gîte has with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The stair gate, baby bath and high chair make this ideal for a family holiday.

"Les Tournesols": named after the magnificent Sunflowers which are grown commercially in the local fields, this gîte's 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms make this it ideal for extended family groups or holidaying with friends. There is one bedroom and en-suite downstairs which are wheelchair accessible - which also makes them ideal for anyone who doesn't like stairs.

In addition, we offer facilities to keep you amused on days when you don't fancy visiting the local attractions:

The house is situated in a loop of the river Dordogne near the picturesque village of Tremolat. It is centrally located for the region's prehistoric attractions, watersports, stunning scenery and local markets - easily enough to keep you occupied for a whole week if you like to keep busy. If you prefer to relax, then the patio around the pool offers a suntrap all day long (though there is a shaded terrace if you want to get out of the sun for a while).

It is also situated 35 minutes drive east of Bergerac airport which offers direct flights from Stansted (www.ryanair.com), Birmingham, Exeter, Leeds and Southampton (www.flybe.com).
